Morgan Wallen has stormed the country music scene with his sophomore album Dangerous: The Double Album debuting at the top of the charts. Dangerous consists of massive 30 song track list, but one song in particular stands out from the lot the way Forever After All stood out in Luke Combs’ latest re-release.
Sand In My Boots is a story about a boy who meets girl during a holiday, falls head over heels, makes long-term plans including taking her back home – but unfortunately falls short of that happy ending. Left with nothing but a broken heart and only sand in his boots, boy goes back to his hometown without the girl of his dreams to turn his plans into reality.
Fleeting moments – who’s been there? I’ve definitely had a few (who’s counting?) and after the disappointment of my very first one, I have learnt to savour the moment and appreciate them for what they are…Blissful moments and memories to give you a sneaky grin every now and then long after they’ve drifted away like falling stars.

I said meet me in the mornin’ / And she told me I was crazy / Yeah, but I still thought that maybe she’d show up / Oh, but now I’m dodging potholes in my sunburnt Silverado / Like a heart-broke Desperado, headin’ right back to my roots / Somethin’ ’bout the way she kissed me tells me she’d love Eastern Tennessee / Yeah, but all I brought back with me was some sand in my boots
